Register to Vote Anytime!
The Electoral Register is the list of everyone who is entitled to vote in both local and national elections. In the past it was updated every year using details from the registration form you receive each Autumn from your local Council.
But now rolling registration has been introduced, which means the Register is updated every month. So now you can register to vote anytime. Please note that filling in your Council Tax form does not automatically register you to vote.
To download a printable registration form in English
As the form is a legal document it needs to be printed, signed and sent to your local council. If you wish to complete a form but are unable to print it out, you can call the electoral registration office at your local council who will send you a form in the post.
Some of the documents are only available for download as Adobe Acrobat .pdf files. You will require the Adobe Acrobat Reader (Version 4 or higher) to view and print the forms. If you don't have it then it is available free from Adobe Inc.
Please read the guidance notes contained in the leaflets before completing the form then return it to your local Electoral Registration Officer:
