| Punching above our weight! | |
| We
were critisised in the media for 'poor' election results in our first
proper local elections outing. Many people were asking, what's of
the point of UKIP?
In my own local campaign one of the issues I highlighted was the almost certain implementation of fortnightly rubbish collections. My campaign literature detailed this impending threat, and the people, at least in my ward, were forearmed. None of the old parties saw it coming, but during the campaign the news was 'littered' with the talk of rubbish - and I'm not talking about the old parties manifestos! We were again, ahead of the game... we were doing the job the old parties should be doing. People may not this time, have made their mark for us, but they will remember, they heard it first from UKIP. On Monday 16th July "Council chiefs in Bradford have again ruled out bringing in fortnightly household waste collections in the district." T&A article Last Saturday it was announced (T&A 7/17) that the Yorkshire Regional Assembly was to be scrapped. Fortnightly refuse collection and Regional Assemblies, who was the only party who opposed them? Coincidence or influence? |

| Comedy website is no joke! | |
| I
must recommend a very good website if you fancy a chuckle... http://www.conservatives.com/
The logo is not very impressive, in fact you'd think it was drawn by a pre-school child. You have to also wonder about the slogan "vote blue - go green". The opening endorsement for the Green Party is very admirable, you might even want to vote for them if you believe that the end is neigh because of global warming.. some people really do! I blame the education system personally, another reason to keep Grammar schools? While I was here though I thought I might have a look around. See what the next green tax is going to be. I came across a New Tory MEP, he was trying to sell the idea that UKIP were being disloyal to our country - I said you this would make you chuckle! It was tricky finding any policies, but I did find some "Campaigns": Bad IDea - This is New Conservative plan to scrap ID cards and build more prisons instead. Yeah, get the criminals in prison, to stop them selling fake ID cards! Of course it couldn't happen for the New Tories as this is an EU project. Uhmm, yeah 'bad idea', better scrap that one then. Post Offices - The New Conservatives say 'Keep 'em open!'. Hurrah! Only problem is the EU won't let us subsidise them anymore. Damn, better let that one go too. Labour's Garden Grab - No it's not some ASBO clad huddy stealing our cabbages, the New Conservatives want to stop the massive house building program. Great, vote Blue, get Green-belt. But what's going to happen to the millions of EU immigrants who want a house? Bugger, better forget that one else or we'll run out of homes. The Richard Review of Small Business - The New Conservatives want to help small business! You won't have to close down next week, small business owner. Well, actually you will as the pro-EU Tories cannot help our business as they are regulated from Brussels. Review complete! Small business finished! Ken Clarke's Democracy Taskforce - That's like asking my dog to hold the Sunday roast while I nip to the loo. What sort of democracy will EU supremo and Bilderberg front man Clarke bring us? I suspect it will be based on the EUSSR's very un-democratic model. It would be funny if it wasn't so desperate. |

| Traitor or Patriot? An open letter to Bradford's Tories | |
| Dear
fellow patriot,
The final 'treaty' is almost upon us - the treaty formally known as the EU Constitution. A tidying up exercise to the anti-UK traitors, I suppose in a way it is, sweeping up those small EU annoyances like freedom and democracy and throwing them aside. The time for talk is over; the arguments for self-governance have been made. You either believe in our countries self governance or you don't. You either believe in democracy or you don't. The old parties hierarchy have made their choice - they want to be at the centre of the EU at all costs, why? Because that's where the power is. Every politician at every level must look in to their heart and decide where they stand. I believe it is right that UKIP should not stand against, what it must be said are a very small number of Tory MPs, who have signed the 'Better Off Out' campaign. The reason being, that their pro-UK voice is more important to our country than UKIPs candidate numbers. Those Tory MPs having sacrificed career progression and front bench status deserve a shot at changing the Tory party - personally I think they are flogging a dead green horse, but it's a chance. Let us be clear, this offer to stand aside does not extend to Tory Councillors and prospective candidates - who on the whole have little to lose and little to gain with a pro-UK voice, little to gain, that is, inside the Tory party. Any Tory Councillor, prospective candidate, activist or supporter is essentially propping up their party's anti-UK leadership, giving them a false mandate to speak for Britain. They are aiding and abetting the destruction of our country. This is a call to arms. All pro-UK Tories, and I believe they are the party's majority, must leave the Tory party and force new leadership upon them, you need not join another party, just withdraw your support, in this case inaction could be your greatest gift to your country. Of course, if you want to tell your grandchildren that in 2009 you fought for Britain, if you believe in freedom, join a pro-UK party. Will you be remembered as a traitor or a patriot? It's your call. Jason Smith |

| The Berlin Declaration - In plain English | |
| Below
is the full text of the Berlin Declaration, there are unsurprisingly,
some inconsistencies with the truth which I have attempted to correct
(my comments in italics >)
Europe was for centuries an Idea, > That's strange I always though Europe was a continent? If they are confusing Europe with the EU, which they are prone to doing, then the EU was an idea, and a very bad one at that. a hope for freedom and understanding. > Freedom and the EU don't make good bedfellows, the EU's freedoms includes trials without jury, European arrest warrants without any evidence, ID card (yes a EU project)… I could go on and on… This hope has been fulfilled. European unity has enabled us to live in peace > I think you'd find peace was as a result of NATO. and prosperity. > We would be significantly more prosperous if we didn't flush £40 million a day in to the EU abyss. It has created a community and overcome differences. > By overcoming differences I think they mean they have 'harmonised' laws of the EU member 'states' Every member has helped to unite Europe and to strengthen democracy, > Not sure how our democracy have been strengthened, by giving it to the EU in exchange for their undemocratic EU institutions the rule of law. We have to thank the love of freedom of the people of central and eastern Europe that Europe's unnatural divisions are today finally overcome. > The eastern European people wanted freedom, but what they've got is another soviet union, once the massive EU funding/bribes have stopped the reality will be clear to them With European unity, we have learned the lessons from our bloody conflicts and painful history. > Absolutely, I've learnt that Hitler was wrong to try unite Europe and create one state, the EU hasn't. We live today together in a way that was never previously possible. > That's kind of true, I don't think I would ever have had the opportunity of living next door to every conceivable nationality in Europe, in fact we could conceivably live with every single citizen of the EU in the UK with our 'open door' immigration policy! We citizens of the European Union are united in our good fortune. > We are united in a undemocratic police state. Section 1 > The only individuals central to the EU are the unelected EU commissioners, our commissioner is discredited former Labour MP Peter Mandelson. His dignity is inviolable. His rights are inalienable. Women and men have equal rights. We strive for peace and freedom, for democracy > Keep striving. and the rule of law, for mutual respect and responsibility, for prosperity > Prosperity, possibly for the big lobbying multinational companies that mould EU policy, most certainly not for us mere citizens and security, > We'd be far more secure without open borders! for tolerance and participation, justice and solidarity. We live and function together in the European Union in a unique way. > It is rather unique in that member 'states' are being ruled from a government in Brussels that has no mandate from the peoples of Europe. This expresses itself in the democratic co-operation > Not sure what democratic co-operation they are talking about? The only democratically elected people in the EU are the European Parliament yet they do not co-operate in making laws. of member states and European institutions. > Many of the institutions meet in secret, and many will not even release the names of who sits on their committees. The European Union is based on equal rights and solidarity. > All equally powerless in a EU police state. That is how we make possible a fair balance of interests between the member states. We uphold in the European Union the individuality and the diverse traditions of its members. > The whole EU project is to harmonise the people and discourage national pride, diverse traditions are the enemy of the EU. The open frontiers and the lively diversity of languages, cultures and regions enrich us. > Yes open frontiers enrich us with many potential terrorists. Many goals cannot be achieved independently but only through common action. The European Union, the member states and their regions > Yes and the Regions share the EU tasks through another undemocratic EU institution, our Regional Assemblies which are based in the UK. and local communities share these tasks. > We share the tasks of abiding by EU regulations and edicts. Section 2 > It doesn't say what these are, though I suspect climate change is coming up. The European Union is our answer to them. Only together can we preserve our European social model > European Social Model = 1 Europe, 1 law, 1 way in the future to the benefit of all citizens in the European Union. This European model unites economic success > The EU countries economies have actually suffered under the restricted EU trade and endless regulation of business, anyone still think the Euro was a good idea? and social responsibility. The common market and the euro make us strong. > The Italians and Germans have even discussed reverting to their national currency. That is how we can shape the increasing worldwide interdependency of the economy and ever expanding competition on international markets according to our values. Europe's wealth lies in the knowledge and abilities of its people; this is the key to growth, employment and social cohesion. We will jointly fight terrorism and organised crime. > I suppose we will need a EU police force with immunity for prosecution and an EU army for that? We will also defend our freedom and civil rights against their enemies. > EU Constitution, remember that dead document? Well article II, paragraph 52 demands the limitation of basic human rights if deemed in the 'general interest' of the European Union. Enough said. Racism and xenophobia must never again be given their chance. > Roughly translated to - freedom of speech will never again be given a chance. We will act to ensure that conflicts in the world are solved peacefully and that people do not become victims of war, terrorism or violence. > Oh, but if that fails, well we've always got the proposed EU army to fall back on. The European Union will promote freedom and development in the world. > I would wager the world would not want the EU's model of freedom. We want to push back poverty, hunger and disease. > You'd best revisit the CAP (Common Agricultural Policy) then, which dumps millions of tonnes of food on world markets destroying opportunities for exporters in developing countries. In doing so, we will continue to play a leading role. In energy policy and protection of the climate > Through the proposed EU wide environment tax no doubt. we want to go forward together and make our contribution to heading off the global threat of climate change. > Many scientists still question whether we are actually contributing to climate change. Section 3 > Secret committee meetings, no documentation of how politicians in the EU vote therefore they can not be held accountable, not very open really is it? and the will of its members to strengthen together the inner development of the European Union. The European Union will continue to promote democracy, > It hasn't so far, at least not in the EU. stability and prosperity beyond its frontiers. European unity has made reality out of a dream nurtured by earlier generations. > I believe one of the people who dreamt of European political unity was Adolf Hitler, he much he singing in his grave. Our history warns us that we have to protect this good fortune > If being in the EU is good fortune, I hate to see what bad fortune is! for future generations. We must continue to renew and update the political shape of Europe. > I don't suppose that will include more referendums will it? Silly me, the citizens can no longer be trusted to make the right decisions and will not be afforded any more of them. That is why, 50 years after the signing of the Treaties of Rome, we are today united in the goal of achieving a renewed common foundation for the European Union before the elections to the European Parliament in 2009. > I am sure they are committed to a 'renewed common foundation' aka 'EU constitution' before any more eurosceptic MEPs are elected at the next EU Elections in 2009. Because we know: Europe is our common future. > Our common enemy. |

| 'Dave' Cameron refuses to deny he smoked cannabis at school... | |
| This
probably means that he did, but does it matter? For his political future
as Tory leader, I don't think it does matter. I would say it would
probably matter more to 'traditional' Tory voters, but then they are a
becoming a minority in the New Conservatives (Blue Labour) so the Tories
elite won't be too concerned about that. Were there ever to be, for
example, a vote on legalising cannabis and other drugs then this could
prove a big problem for the Tory party with Cameron at the helm,
especially if they wanted to take a 'hard line' on drugs. On the plus
side for Dave, this revelation might actually endear him to the Liberal
voters he covets.
Where it does hurt Dave most is in his inability to tell the truth, to give a straight answer. A trail so common in today's politicians. Remembers this man effectively 'stole' the Tory leadership election with his EPP pledge, which he has been unwilling to stand by. Dave is looking more and more like his political idol Tony Blair, whose reign has been one of duplicity. Had our tree huger Dave come clean then this would all be forgotten, unfortunately for him this will run and run. Voters shouldn't be too concerned or surprised at Cameron's schoolboy antics, but what should ring alarm bells is that he is seemingly morphing in to Tony Blair, all that Cameron requires is a little hair loss and a maniacal grin. I'm sure it will come. |

| Schools threaten good parents | |
| Many
Bradford schools have opted in to another ill-conceived government
initiative; this one is to curb the truant rate in our schools. A good
cause for sure.
In typical New Labour style, rather than target children who truant, the new system targets all children who are absent from school, including those that are ill. All children who fall under a certain percentage of attendance in a term will receive a 'warning' letter from the Bradford truant office, stating that in the next 'monitoring period' they expect your child to raise their attendance… or else. We received one such letter; our son had a couple of bad bouts of the flu and fell under the required percentage of attendance. Bear in mind that his absence was fully authorised as confirmed via the school computer printout, accompanied with the threatening letter. We are now apparently being "monitored", such a common New Labour term, and if our son's attendance does not improve we have been threatened with a fine or imprisonment. Remember that our son was legitimately ill and the school has the authorisation letter to prove this. I queried this with the school and was transferred to the truant officer?? Who didn't seem to understand the definition of truancy? Maybe she did not attend many English lessons as a child. The officer announced in no uncertain terms that our son's attendance next term must improve, my question was, but what if he is ill again? Well he must not come to school of course she replied, but if he does not come to school we could be fined? That is correct she answered. When I tried to clarify this situation with the Bradford truant office, in the ultimate irony, I was told the truant officer was "off ill". This is not an isolated case. A daughter of a colleague of mine had an accident at school; she fell and broke her arm. Her mother also received a 'threatening' letter, even though her daughter's non-attendance was due to an injury sustained in school! The school was good enough to send her a letter of apology, but clearly this system is totally flawed. My sons school supports this project as they claim it has been successful in catching some children, but how many good families are they alienating I wonder? Unfortunately, this is exactly how New Labour operates; they are so immersed in political correctness and so bound by human rights legislation, that they now target everyone, just to ensure they can claim everyone is treated equally. We are now seeing parents intimidated in to sending their children to school when they are clearly too ill to attend or contribute, which is neither good for the child or their schoolmates. As viruses spread around the school is this really going to improve school attendance? No, but it will keep more Labour truant officers in work and will give our government more pointless statistics to justify their ministers existence. |

say 'NO' to fluoridation of Bradford's water and people ask why? Well
here are: 10 Reasons Why: You Should Refuse Fluoridation (1) It's an industrial waste product. The actual
substance that they put in water is not natural fluoride at all, it is
Hydrofluosilic acid. |

Blair
henchman John Reid recently announced that everybody must have his or
her biometric details recorded under the 'identity card
scheme'.
Well, as I remember the scheme has yet to be made compulsory,
although in order to avoid your data being added to the national
register you must also avoid renewing your driving licence or passport,
which is as, many have claimed, compulsion through the back door. He added that all citizens would be forced to have
their iris’ scanned and be fingerprinted.
The
best opposition the shadow home secretary, David Davis, could come up
with was it (ID cards/database) would be a "financial
disaster" for Britain, which of course it will be.
I would have rather he mentioned the fact that the people of the
UK have been told they will be 'forced' to have their iris' scanned and
fingerprints taken, and I wonder how they intend to do this?
At least we now know just how concerned the Tories are and where
their interest lies - it's all about money as it always was.
And where, might you ask was the Lib Dem spokesman, I suspect he
is struggling to reconcile how their pro EU
stance and stance against ID cards fits with the EU's commitment to ID
cards. |
