SHIPLEY

I was born in South Kirkby, South
Yorkshire and my family moved to the West Riding when I was about four. Went to Thorpe infants' school in Idle, then Windhill church school and finished my education at the Shipley Selective Central school as Otley Road was then known. Worked all my life for one company in textiles C.F.Taylor & Co. Ltd, which merged with Jeremiah Amblers and Robert Clough's to form British Mohai Spinners Ltd. As one of their sales executives and speaking French I virtually travelled the world.
Philip Bird

CLAYTON & FAIRWEATHER GREEN

I was born in Bradford and grown up the area all my life.
I have achieved 7 GCSEs,
3 A-levels and I am about to move into my final year of university.
I am currently working for the party in the European Parliament as a years placement.
The three main parties, especially the Tories and "New" Labour have been in charge of the millions of your wasted taxes on regeneration in the centre of Bradford.  Yet they threaten our area with Post Office closures, claiming there isn't enough money to keep them open.
Like the other wards in Bradford, all money and tax goes into these city centre failed and unpopular projects, with very little given for the wards and people they represent.
Only UKIP will cut Council Tax by 50%, save our Post Offices and get more police on the street!

He joined the UK Independence Party 2 years ago and this is the first time he has stood as a candidate for the party. In his spare time he enjoys going to football and watching various other sports. He also enjoys spending time with his family.
